  • Can I resume broken downloads?
    Yes, but only if you own a Premium-account.Premium-account support download-accelerators. Those programs support resume of broken files and even segmented downloads. This means, you can download the same file with many streams, resulting in higher download-speed.
  • Can I delete my uploaded files?
    Sure you can! After your upload, you will get two links. The download-link, which you give to everyone you want, and a delete-link, which you keep for yourself. Just click on the delete-link and your file will be deleted immediately.
  • I have upgrade to Premium account, Why is my download slow?
    Please make sure you have enabled cookies on your browser.Since our system recognizes Premium download by cookie.Also make sure you do not have software installed, which blocks sending of cookies. Some firewalls for example like to do this.
  • I'm using a proxy and can't download.
    Unfortnately our free advertising supported service doesn't support uploads or downloads from users on "web proxies" or anonymized connections.

    If you enjoy our service and would like to continue using it through an anonymous proxy you will need to upgrade to a premium account.
  • I followed a forum or short URL link and can't download?
    If you follow a short URL or a redirect link such as http://www.myforum.com/pointer.php?http://www.filemonster.net/en/file/381818/filename.html you generally will be unable to access the download.

    To fix this, simply copy/paste the full text of the FileMonster.net link ( http://www.filemonster.net/en/file/381818/filename.html ) into a new browser window or over the old Address. You can then download the file.
  • How come I can only download for awhile, then not until the next day?
    More than likely our service has flagged your free account for excessive usage of resources. The system watches your upload/download activity and the time period inbetween to determine if your usage is impacting service for other visitors. If you exceed a threshhold, your downloads will be blocked until the following day.

    If you enjoy our service and would like to continue using it with maximum speeds and features, we recommend upgrading to the premium package. The premium package is not affected by the above quality of service check.

  • How do I sign up for an account?
    You can sign up for a free account on the sign up page. You need to choose a username and password that you will use to upload images to your account. We also require you to enter a valid email address when you join. We send a confirmation email to this address with instructions on how to activate your account.
  • How do I cancel my account?
    FileMonster only offers pre-paid non-subscription plans.

    Unlike other services that sell you on-going subscriptions, FileMonster works more like a pre-paid phone. Your account will automaticly "downgrade" from your paid premium level to the free registered account upon the expiration of your paid premium access.

    We feel this is the most convenient way as you never need to worry about being charged again, unless you decide to login and renew your premium access.
